Retirelens

Privacy Policy

How Retirelens collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects your information.

Effective Date: August 3, 2026

Welcome to Retirelens. Retirelens is built to help you view retirement through a wider lens, including your Finance, Health, Purpose, Connections, and Legacy Lenses, and other aspects of life after work. This work can involve personal and sensitive information, and we take that responsibility seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how we protect it, how long we retain it, and what choices you may have.

Retirelens was built on the belief that retirement planning requires trust. We do not sell your personal information. Our business model is built on serving users, not selling their personal information.

1. Who We Are

Retirelens (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides digital tools that help individuals organize retirement-related information, documents, and planning.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the categories described below. The information we collect depends on the features you use.

A. Information You Provide Directly

Depending on the features you use, you may provide identifiers and account information; contact information; financial and retirement-planning information, such as assets, accounts, income, expenses, goals, and projections; estate and legacy information; documents you upload; information about trusted contacts and other people; planning notes, preferences, reminders, and goals; communications with Retirelens; and prompts, questions, files, or other content submitted to AI-enabled features.

You control much of the information you choose to enter. Many fields in Retirelens are optional and may be added or updated as the applicable feature allows.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you use Retirelens, we may automatically collect information such as device type, browser, operating system, IP address, log and security data, usage activity, feature interactions, pages or screens viewed, and cookies or similar technologies. We use this information to operate the Services, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, understand product usage, and improve Retirelens.

C. Information About Other People

Some features allow you to enter information about other people, such as a spouse or partner, family member, trusted contact, Co-Planner, executor, trustee, beneficiary, advisor, attorney, or other person. If you provide information about another person, you are responsible for having the right to provide it and, where appropriate, for informing that person.

Please do not provide sensitive information about another person unless it is reasonably necessary for your planning and you have the right to provide it. If you believe someone has added your information to Retirelens and you want us to review or remove it, use the contact or feedback feature on our site.

D. AI-Enabled Features

If you use an AI-enabled feature, we may process the prompts, questions, documents, files, planning information, and other content needed to provide that feature. Section 10 explains additional AI-related practices.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide, personalize, and improve Retirelens. This includes using information you provide to generate planning tools, scenarios, insights, recommendations, summaries, reminders, and other features intended to serve your retirement-planning needs.

We may also use information to create and maintain your account; authenticate users and protect accounts; store and organize documents and planning information; provide requested sharing or collaboration features; operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services; communicate service-related information; provide support; prevent fraud or misuse; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use or disclose information you enter about your finances, estate, legacy, or other sensitive planning matters for targeted advertising.

4. How We Protect Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These safeguards may include encryption, access controls, authentication measures, logging, monitoring, and other protections appropriate to the information and Services involved. No system can guarantee absolute security. Additional information about our security practices is available on our Security page.

You also play an important role in protecting your account. Protect access to the email, Apple, or Google account you use to sign in; keep one-time passcodes and other authentication information private; do not share access to your Retirelens account; and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. When Retirelens provides a designated sharing or Co-Planner feature, use that feature rather than sharing your own account access.

5. Your Control and Choices

Depending on the features available to your account, you may be able to access or update account information, manage documents, adjust communications, or close your account. You may also submit a privacy request using the contact or feedback feature on our site.

Some rights and functionality may vary during the Alpha as Retirelens continues to develop. Section 12 describes privacy rights that may apply based on where you live and the laws applicable to Retirelens.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and meet legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and operational needs.

If you close your account or request deletion, we will handle information in accordance with our then-current retention practices and applicable law. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally permitted. Retention practices for future Survivor Package, trusted-contact, executor, or similar workflows may be described separately when those features become available.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information when needed to provide or operate Retirelens, including to service providers and processors that support functions such as hosting, security, analytics, communications, customer support, document processing, identity verification, and AI-enabled services. We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Retirelens, or others from fraud, misuse, security threats, or harm.

Where Retirelens provides sharing, Co-Planner, trusted-contact, or similar functionality, information may be disclosed according to the permissions and actions you configure or authorize.

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Sensitive Planning Information

Retirelens may process sensitive financial, estate, legacy, family, and other planning information that you choose to provide. We use this information to provide the Retirelens features and planning experiences you request and for related operational, security, support, and improvement purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not use sensitive planning information for targeted advertising.

Retirelens does not currently offer a Health Lens as part of the initial Alpha. If we introduce features that collect or process health or wellness information, we may update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notices or controls as appropriate before or when those features become available.

9. Cookies and Analytics

Retirelens may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Services, keep users signed in, maintain security, remember settings, measure performance, understand product usage, and improve the user experience. Browser or device controls may allow you to manage certain cookies.

We may provide additional notices or controls regarding cookies and analytics as our use of these technologies evolves.

10. AI-Enabled Features

Retirelens may use third-party AI service providers to generate planning insights, summaries, suggested next steps, document Q&A, and other AI-enabled experiences. Information needed to provide a requested AI feature may be processed by Retirelens and applicable AI service providers.

Retirelens does not use your personal information, uploaded documents, financial information, estate or legacy information, or other private planning content to train Retirelens AI models. Our use of third-party AI providers is subject to the configurations, contractual terms, and data-handling practices applicable to those services.

AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. Important information should be independently verified, particularly before making financial, legal, tax, insurance, estate-planning, or other consequential decisions.

11. Children's Privacy

Retirelens is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to Retirelens, please contact us.

12. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the laws applicable to Retirelens, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain information, and other privacy choices. Retirelens will honor privacy rights that apply to it under applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.

To submit a privacy request, use the contact or feedback feature on our site. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing certain requests.

13. United States Users

Retirelens is operated from the United States and is currently intended solely for users located in the United States. We do not currently direct the Services to users in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions outside the United States. If international support is introduced, we may update this Privacy Policy and provide additional region-specific notices as appropriate.

14. Security Incidents and Breach Notification

If we discover a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and take appropriate steps to contain and address it. When notification is required by applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and/or appropriate authorities as required.

15. Business Transfers

If Retirelens is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Retirelens and our practices evolve. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method. The updated policy will state its effective date.

17. Contact Us

Questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy may be sent to us using the contact or feedback feature on our site.
