Retirelens

Terms of Service

Terms governing your use of Retirelens.

Effective Date: August 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Retirelens, including our website, applications, tools, features, content, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account and affirmatively accepting these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you participate in an Alpha or other early-access program, additional program terms may apply.

Please read these Terms carefully. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information.

1. Who We Are

Retirelens (“Retirelens,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by [INSERT LEGAL ENTITY NAME AND STATE OF INCORPORATION].

Retirelens provides digital planning and organization tools that may include features relating to Finance, Health, Purpose, Connections, and Legacy. Available features may vary by account, program, or release. Health-related features are not part of the initial Alpha unless Retirelens expressly makes them available.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use the Services unless we expressly make the Services available in another jurisdiction.

You are responsible for providing accurate information where required, maintaining the security of the email, Apple, or Google account you use to access Retirelens, keeping one-time passcodes and other authentication information private, and notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share access to your Retirelens account or allow another person to use your authentication credentials. If Retirelens provides a designated sharing or collaboration feature, use that feature rather than sharing your own account access.

3. What Retirelens Is and Is Not

Retirelens provides educational, informational, organizational, and planning tools. Retirelens does not provide individualized financial, investment, legal, tax, insurance, or medical advice through the consumer Services unless expressly stated otherwise.

You remain responsible for decisions you make. Information provided through Retirelens should not be treated as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified financial, legal, tax, insurance, medical, or other professional when such advice is needed.

Retirelens does not act as your financial advisor, investment adviser, broker, attorney, accountant, tax advisor, insurance agent or broker, healthcare provider, executor, trustee, or agent under a power of attorney.

4. Planning Estimates and Calculations

Calculators, projections, estimates, simulations, scenarios, benchmarks, and other planning outputs are illustrative and depend on assumptions, information you provide, third-party data, and methodologies that may change.

Actual outcomes, including investment returns, taxes, Social Security benefits, healthcare costs, inflation, longevity, interest rates, property values, insurance costs, and other financial or life outcomes, may differ from estimates shown by Retirelens. Past performance, historical information, and modeled results do not guarantee future results.

You should verify important inputs and outputs before making consequential decisions.

5. Documents and Digital Vault

Retirelens may allow you to upload and organize wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, financial records, insurance documents, and other files in the Digital Vault.

You retain ownership of documents and other content you upload, subject to the rights needed for Retirelens to store, process, display, secure, back up, and otherwise provide the Services you request.

Retirelens stores and organizes documents but does not determine whether a document is authentic, complete, current, legally valid, properly executed, enforceable, or appropriate for your circumstances. Uploading a document to Retirelens does not create, amend, execute, revoke, notarize, witness, or otherwise change the legal effect of that document.

Keep original documents and any legally required originals outside Retirelens. Retirelens should not be your sole repository for important legal, financial, healthcare, or estate-planning documents.

6. People and Roles in Your Plan

Retirelens may allow you to record information about people associated with your retirement or legacy plan, such as a spouse or partner, family member, beneficiary, executor, trustee, attorney, advisor, or other person.

Recording a person or role in Retirelens does not appoint that person, grant that person access to your account, or establish any legal authority or status. Legal authority depends on applicable law and valid legal documents or appointments.

If you provide information about another person, you are responsible for having the right to provide it and, where appropriate, for informing that person.

7. AI-Enabled Features

Retirelens may use artificial intelligence to provide summaries, planning insights, document Q&A, suggestions, or other outputs. AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your circumstances.

Do not rely on AI-generated content as the sole basis for financial, investment, legal, tax, insurance, medical, estate-planning, or other consequential decisions. Verify important information and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

Summaries, extracted information, document Q&A, and AI-generated explanations relating to uploaded documents are provided for convenience and may be incomplete or inaccurate. They do not replace review of the original document or advice from a qualified professional.

Data practices for AI-enabled features are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. No Emergency Service

Retirelens is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon to deliver time-sensitive medical, legal, financial, incapacity, death, or end-of-life instructions. If you need emergency assistance, contact the appropriate emergency service or qualified professional.

9. Independent Professionals and Third-Party Services

Retirelens may provide information about, links to, or ways to connect with independent professionals or third-party services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, those professionals and services are independent from Retirelens.

Retirelens does not control or guarantee the advice, services, qualifications, availability, pricing, or conduct of independent professionals or third parties. Your relationship with a professional or third party is governed by the terms you agree to with them.

10. Acceptable Use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not misuse the Services, interfere with their operation or security, attempt unauthorized access, circumvent access controls, introduce malicious code, use automated means to scrape or extract information except as expressly permitted, impersonate another person, or use the Services to violate the rights of another person.

You may not upload content that you do not have the right to provide or use Retirelens to engage in unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.

11. Retirelens Intellectual Property

Retirelens and its licensors own the Services, including the software, designs, interfaces, branding, text, graphics, methodologies, and other Retirelens content, except for content owned by users or third parties.

Subject to these Terms, Retirelens grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services for your personal use. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Retirelens intellectual property to you.

12. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about Retirelens, you grant Retirelens a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use that feedback to develop, improve, and operate Retirelens without compensation to you. This right does not give Retirelens ownership of your personal information, uploaded documents, or planning data.

13. Fees and Paid Services

Certain Services may later be offered for a fee under pricing and subscription terms presented to you before purchase. Before charging you, Retirelens will provide applicable pricing and payment terms and obtain any consent required by law.

Additional terms may apply to paid Services and will be presented when applicable.

14. Service Availability and Changes

We work to make Retirelens reliable and useful, but we do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure from every threat, or that every feature will remain available.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of the Services. Where appropriate, we may provide notice of material changes.

15. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Retirelens at any time. Where account-closing functionality is available, you may close your account, or you may contact us for assistance.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, misused the Services, or if suspension or termination is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect Retirelens, users, or third parties.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute provisions, and other accrued rights or obligations, will survive as applicable.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” RETIRELENS DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT SUCH WARRANTIES MAY LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED.

RETIRELENS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES OR ANY INFORMATION, CALCULATION, AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, DOCUMENT SUMMARY, OR OTHER CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, ERROR-FREE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCES.

17. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

(a) IN NO EVENT WILL RETIRELENS OR ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES, EVEN IF RETIRELENS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

(b) RETIRELENS'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID RETIRELENS FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (ii) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

(c) The limitations in this section do not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or gross negligence or willful misconduct.

(d) Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or liability, so some of the limitations in this section may not apply to you. In that case, Retirelens's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Retirelens and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your unlawful misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.

19. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim against Retirelens, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us through the contact or feedback feature on our site. Most concerns can be resolved this way.

If a dispute is not resolved informally, either party may bring an individual claim in a court of competent jurisdiction, including small claims court for qualifying claims.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Retirelens and the Services evolve. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method. The updated Terms will state their effective date.

Where applicable law requires your affirmative agreement to updated Terms, we will request it.

21. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, or as otherwise permitted by law.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to a particular Service or program, constitute the agreement between you and Retirelens regarding the Services covered by those terms.

22. Contact Us

Questions about these Terms may be sent to Retirelens using the contact or feedback feature on our site.
